Our Wonderful Marie-Claude has made all these afternoon teas for our Guests and Carers, Marie-Claude is also shielded, so her lovely husband Alan delivered them in the Winkleigh area.

A wonderful afternoon looking at knitting art with Shirley Cowling who designed patterns and created a mixture of clothing using a knitting machine.
The Black Torrington event on the 27th April 2017 at the Community hall, was very successful, it’s an awareness event with Westward housing giving advice re housing and financial problem, there was also a therapist who was doing hand massages, music from Swanswood, and Exercise to music with Renata, this was very popular with many people taking part. Other services involved were Ageing well, Aftercaring, Wiser money, Fire brigade, Devon Drink Wise, Age Well, British Legion, Holsworthy Community Transport, Alzheimer’s uk, See hear (Living Options Devon).
Volunteers provided an amazing buffet, Lesley Vuskans from Westward described the food “was made with love”. A musical afternoon with Swanswood, a wonderful event with singing, feet tapping and guessing the tunes followed by afternoon tea.
A wonderful morning preparing chicken dishes with Brenda. The food was lovely. And each participant went away with a homemade Chicken pie. COOKING FOR MEN WILL RESUME IN AUTUMN
Good Companions Woolsery A wonderful musical afternoon with Swanswood they played music from the war years.
In Halwill for the Community lunch, With Westward housing Paul Raeburn, fire brigade Sally McKay-Roper, and Waitrose Community matters Vikki, Aftercaring Mendie Devos, See hear bus Living options Anne, and what a great day we had, raising funds for the Memory Café (Forget me Not Friends) HALWILL.
We had a great day out in Seaton fish and chips on the sea front, then a tram ride in the afternoon for cream teas. The weather was glorious.
Needle craft with Jeannie Carpenter and the Good Companions of Woolsery. A great event enjoyed by all. This was very popular so the ladies have asked Jeannie to run the class for the next Good Companions in September.
with Councillor Barry Parsons. The event was very successful with a good turnout. Westward Housing supported the event with cream teas and training for their staff. We would like to thank them for all their support with the project.
