Welcome to SRIL...
We have increased the number of volunteers supporting older people in the communities of Winkleigh, Halwill and Woolsery and their surrounding areas. By training and supporting these volunteers the project will work with service providers, communities and individuals to identify those in need and provide practical support where necessary.
The project is helping older people to stay in their own homes for longer, reduce hospital admissions, as well overcome loneliness and isolation. |
A Local Community Project...Volunteers are making a difference in their local communities of Holsworthy, Winkleigh, Halwill and Woolsery and their surrounding areas.
Volunteers have received, and will continue to receive, ongoing training in partnership with service providers, to equip them to support older people in the community, many of which are living with dementia, or suffering from loneliness and depression. Map of areas covered... |
